Mika Jain, M.S.Ed., M.S.S.E. is a social entrepreneur, educator, and nonprofit strategist working at the intersection of education, equity, and culture. With a dual foundation in early childhood education and social entrepreneurship, Mika brings over a decade of experience designing and scaling impact-driven initiatives across the public, nonprofit, and philanthropic sectors.
Mika began her career in 2013 as a Teach For America Chicago corps member, teaching at a federally funded Head Start program. She later joined the founding team at KIPP Ignite Academy in South Los Angeles, where she helped shape the school’s instructional culture and led the region’s social-emotional learning (SEL) and mindfulness strategy across multiple KIPP elementary schools.
After five years in the classroom, Mika transitioned to The Goldie Hawn Foundation, where she served as Program Director for the national MindUP™ program—a CASEL-accredited SEL curriculum for PreK–8th grade students. In this role, she managed school partnerships and supported the training of over 125 schools nationwide.
Mika went on to serve as Vice President of Client Engagement at The Artemis Agency, a consulting firm focused on entertainment philanthropy. There, she led strategy and storytelling efforts for a wide range of foundations, including Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation, The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation, Dr. Nadine Burke Harris’s Number Story, Gilead Foundation, Pharrell Williams’ YELLOW School, and Kode with Klossy.
As the Founder & Principal of Mika Jain Consulting (MJC), she now advises small to mid-sized nonprofits, foundations, and public sector initiatives on how to build, communicate, and scale their impact. MJC’s portfolio includes strategy, communications, measurement, and capacity-building support for clients such as The Miguel Contreras Foundation, The BIG We Foundation, Gilded Knight Consulting, and Blended Impact Labs.
Mika holds degrees in education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Dominican University, and a Master of Science in Social Entrepreneurship from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business.
Outside of work, she sings with VOX Femina Los Angeles and serves as a judge for the Anthem Awards, the social impact division of the Webby Awards.
